Parent viewing, no doubt about it, is the dress rehearsal for Malanka. Dancers receive their costumes, get their hair braided, make up done, pictures taken and then get to perform for family. It's a great time to work out the bugs before the much bigger, more intimidating performance for Malanka when the gym is full and the spotlight is focussed squarely on the dancers. But perhaps more importantly, Parent Viewing allows Troyanda Club members a chance to get to know one another better and break bread (ok pizza) together. Here is the day in review in pictures.
Now in its 20th year, the Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club in Lethbridge is a not-for-profit organization with members that volunteer their time to preserving and promoting the artful heritage of Ukrainian dance in southern Alberta. Troyanda has 38 dancers ranging in age from 3 to timeless. . For information about events, classes, fees, workshops or to request a performance, please e-mail Troyanda@hotmail.ca You can also check out Troyanda's Official webpage at www.troyandalethbridge.com
